On December 17, 2023, Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts were flooded due to heavy rains. Many villages and towns have been completely submerged in it and have been severely affected. Many people lost their homes and possessions and were left stranded. Even though the flood has receded now, the people have not fully recovered from the damage caused by the flood.

In this case, to maintain the health of the people living in the flood-affected areas, Savista and Unwo have jointly planned to conduct medical camps for 5 days as a CSR program in different places affected by floods in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts. Based on that, medical camps were started in Thoothukudi on 21.01.2024. We have also associated Thanal NGO, Aster DM Healthcare & Ashok Leyland as our other field partners for this noble cause.

For conducting these medical camps proper permission has been obtained from the government. And it has been started successfully with the support of many government officials and people.

On the opening day (21.01.2024) from 10 am to 4.30 pm, camps were held at two places. Camp 1 was held in Anna Nagar and this camp was inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Gafoor Ahmed of K M Khan Groups. 178 people from this area benefited from this camp

Camp 2 was held at Zahir Hussain Nagar. This camp was inaugurated by Mr. Meerasa Maraikkayar, President of IUML. 67 people from this area benefited from this camp.

1 Doctor, 3 Nurses, and more than 10 volunteers participated in both camps. Also, many government officials and important personalities attended and graced these two camps.
