Health Department came into existence when UNWO came across large no of people suffering from various diseases in various districts, due to lack of knowledge, lack of guidance, unable to pay for the treatment due to poverty, due to lack of help at the right time and ultimately people were dying. Many of them get caught in interest based loans and some of them sell their properies.
We are taking nescessary steps to cure the ill people with the help of different hospitals with whom we have tie-ups, conduct medical awareness camps which builds knowledge, skills, positive attitudes about health and early detection of health problem.

PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
Primary healthcare refers to a broad range of health services provided by medical professionals in the community.
MEDICAL DATA BANK
Medical data bank refers to furnish the details of hospitals specific for the treatment of particular health condition.
MEDICAL GUIDANCE
Medical guidance to people refers to directing the patients to specific hospital for treatment using the Medical data bank.
WHO proposal for Primary Health care
- Educating about prevailing health problems and methods of preventing and controlling them.
- Primary care brings promotion and prevention, cure and care together in a safe, effective and socially productive way at the interface between the population and the health system.
- Promotion of food supply and proper nutrition
- Adequate supply of safe water and basic sanitation
- Maternal and child health care, including family welfare
- Immunization against infectious disease
- Prevention and control of pandemic diseases
- Provision and availability of essential drugs

- We have already opened a medical centre in Dindigul which is a great help for the local people.
- To promote improved standards of teaching and training in the health, medical and related professions.
- Starting small clinics in every known TGCs and appoint trained health care workers.
- Operate taluk hospitals comprising of 25 beds each with basic facilities like ECG, Ultra Sonography, Echo, Lab, X-ray, Maternity and Surgical facilities.
- To offer the above facilities in district level and in addition, provide facilities such as CT scan, ICU, PICU and ICCU.
- Conduct meeting and seminars and educate the doctors and medical professionals about the requirements of their services for the poor.
- Keep a database of doctors, hospitals, diagnostic centres for the purpose of referrals.
